Etsy, goimagine, Michaels, OH MY!

The world of ecommerce is ever changing and to be honest a bit of a whirlwind these last two years.

As makers search for a home that fits I too have been dipping my toes into a few places.  Most recently goimagine and Michael's Makersplace.  While those two are very new I do like the vetting of sellers to ensure that the items there are truly handmade.  goimaine especially takes the vetting process and continue monitoring of their site very seriously.

I have also grown rather fond of my shopify store.  It's my own little corner on the internet where I don't have to bow to changing policies and fee increases outside of the normal ones for transaction fees that we have to pay anywhere.

It's hard running your own website and difficult to get buyers to you but here I am.

What does this all have to do with handmade baby and toddler clothing?  Nothing and everything.

I want to be in a place where I know customers will be getting exactly the handmade item they ordered and not something mass produced.  A place to build trust and excel at customer satisfaction.  And for me most importantly a place to sell all the things for the little ones that I truly love making.

I buy quality fabrics.  Most are organic and many are milled in the US.  While they are more expensive the quality can't be beat.   I'm not a fabric hoarder.  At least that is what I tell everyone.  I'm just well supplied.  I love fabric shopping.  Happy mail for me is a box of new prints or solid knits to have fun with.

I recently acquired a wholesale account with a supplier of luxury minky fabrics in the most amazing colors and designs.  Those will be coming to the website soon. I can't wait to put in my next order.  You'll not find this quality at the big box stores.

I'll be soon adding a category for ready to ship items.  If you need something in a rush for a special outing or event I'll be able to ship in one to two days with the shipping method of your choice.

If you made it this far thank you so much for your time.  While I know buying from a new website is somewhat scary with all the scams and fraud these days I promise you I am real with actual handmade products.

If you feel more comfortable buying from a marketplace look me up on goimagine or Michaels Makersplace.  I've just started adding to Michael's as it's a little more difficult to navigate that Shopify.

If you haven't heard of goimagine please go give them a looksee.  They vet all sellers and are on top of ensuring that the resellers don't get on their site.  They also donate all profits to children's charities and will never to slave to shareholders.  They are good eggs.
